Sister Kathleen Sheehan Tee – Black
Text below image: “In March 1972, Sister Mary Kathleen Sheehan was arrested for protesting unsafe housing in Louisville. Her commitment to housing rights led mayor Harvey Sloane to ask her to work as a housing inspector and, in 1984, to start the city’s first day shelter. Over 40 years later, St. John Center & Sheehan Landing continue working toward Sister Sheehan’s goal of ending homelessness in Louisville.“
